Daily Prompt: Passenger

We get on a subway and see other passengers. Most of the time we don’t know them and when we run into our friends, we are surprised at the chance. On some occasions we may converse with strangers. All in all, we are just passersby to one another.

Being surrounded by crowds does not seem to ease the loneliness many people feel. There needs interactions, amicable and pleasant ones to ease the pain. That’s why our organization wants to invest in our time and money to combat the disease of loneliness through music and other forms of art. We strive to build friendship with those who are institutionalized as we don’t meet them on a subway.

We play Jazz music at nursing homes, hospices and private functions. We also record ensembles for a small group of musicians.
