But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. (Luke 14:13 – 14 NIV)

I would like to live out the Gospel as Jesus Christ taught. Although I still have a lot to learn, I have committed to serve those who cannot reciprocate or have no hope to repaying what they have received.

We absolutely need to invest in educating and nurture children and young people because they are the future leaders. But because they have potential to contribute, there are foundations and associations that are willing to invest in such causes. I support them with all my heart – it makes a business sense.

However, I would like to sustain those who are forgotten and do not have any chance of giving back to the society. It’s not popular but I believe that’s my calling.

I am one of the writers in Ravished By Light for the summer and will write every fortnight. I am hoping to enrich my calling to serve those who cannot repay.

  1. Hi, Mimi! Thanks for following my blog, Ravished by Light, and writing for the Summer in the Psalms series. I love having different perspectives on Scripture. I am so thankful for you and your organization and the work you do for the arts and those nourished by them.
